Who it's for

You've already told me about the patients behind this course.

When I asked clinicians on the interest list which patient they most wanted this course to solve, the replies came within hours. Maybe you'll recognize yours:

Sessions 1, 3 & 4

The 3 AM waker

She’s 47, high-performing, sleeping six hours and waking wired at 3 o’clock. She’s gained weight without changing anything she can name, her concentration isn’t what it was, and her cycles swing from 21 to 45 days. She’s not a mystery; she’s a map of the stress–hormone–metabolism intersection.

Sessions 2–6

The woman taking eight+ supplements

Arriving from a functional medicine practitioner, a naturopath, or Instagram. She’s smart, she’s motivated, and she’s asking you a fair question: do I actually need these?

Sessions 1, 3 & 6

The one who’s sensitive to everything

Early perimenopause, still cycling, real symptoms, and she couldn’t tolerate progesterone or estradiol at any dose, alone or together. Your instinct says there’s more going on than hormone fluctuations. Your instinct is right.

Session 3, 6

The one hormone therapy was supposed to fix

She hoped hormones would solve everything, and she’s still symptomatic. What’s the workup now — and which advanced tests genuinely change your decisions?

And behind them, all the others: the patient who can’t or won't take hormones, or is on them and still not well.

For decades, clinicians were taught menopause as a cautionary tale against hormone therapy, or it was not taught at all. That's changing, slowly, but integrative medicine approaches are still missing from the classroom and bedside. In the absence of trained clinicians, patients are learning from social media, not their care team. We need a practice framework to bring it all together.

That’s what this course delivers: the complete clinical picture, organized for the exam room.

The Curriculum

Six weeks. Six clinical questions.

Each session is built around a question your patients are already asking you.

Session 1

October 1

Hormones in Full Context

What is my complete hormonal toolkit — pharmaceutical, compounded, and beyond — across the full perimenopause-to-menopause transition?

Session 2

October 8

When Hormones Aren’t the Whole Answer

My complete integrative response for the patient who can’t take hormones, won’t, isn’t ready — or is on them and still symptomatic. Supplements with evidence grades, at prescriber depth.

Session 3

October 15

HPA Axis, Stress, Mood & Sleep

Why does this patient feel burned out and bummed out even on hormone therapy — and what does a complete integrative stress, mood, and sleep response look like?

Session 4

October 22

Weight, Metabolism & Thyroid

What are my evidence-based options when diet and exercise stop working in midlife — and why do they stop working?

Session 5

October 29

Bone & Cardiovascular Health

How does menopause change bone and cardiovascular risk, and what does complete, integrative prevention look like?

Session 6

October 5

Functional Testing Deep Dive

When do advanced hormone panels, stool analyses, and nutrient tests actually change my clinical decisions — and when do they just add noise?

What you receive

Built for use in clinic the next day.

  • Six 90-minute live sessions on Zoom, Thursdays at 6:00 PM CT — dense, clinically focused teaching, each followed by an optional non-CME Q&A where we talk through your clinical questions.
  • Every session recorded, with 12 months of access — the recordings are a complete path through the course, whatever your time zone.
  • Clinical downloads with every session — tiered protocols, decision frameworks, testing algorithms, patient communication scripts, and EHR dot phrases. The resources I wished existed when I first brought integrative care into my own practice— so I made them.
  • A private community for questions and case discussion between sessions.
  • A right-sized founding cohort — small enough that I know who’s in the room and can engage with you directly.
  • CME/CE credit pending — in joint providership with Learn at Pinnacle.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Continuing education across the care team.

This course is designed as accredited continuing education across the care team. CME/CE credit is pending for physicians (AMA PRA Category 1™), nurses and nurse practitioners (ANCC), physician assistants (AAPA Category 1™), and pharmacists (ACPE). Credit is also certified for dietitians, nurses, dentists, and athletic trainers. Health coaches and other integrative practitioners receive a Certificate of Participation.

It meets you wherever you are on the integrative spectrum: if you prescribe hormone therapy confidently, that's the floor this course builds on, not the ceiling. If you're integrative-first, you'll leave with the evidence grades and monitoring frameworks to practice with rigor.

A note from your instructor

Melinda Ring, MD, FACP, ABOIM, MSCP

I’m Melinda Ring — board-certified in internal medicine and integrative medicine, a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, and Executive Director of the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Northwestern University. I’ve spent decades caring for women in midlife through an integrative medicine lens, and teaching clinicians nationally how to do the same.

This course is everything I wish someone had handed me when I started: the complete clinical picture, organized so you have the tools to put what you learn immediately to work in your practice. I built it because after every talk I gave this year, the question was the same: “where do I learn the rest of this?” This is the rest of it.
